Either use Apply Poison or Poison Arrow...
Apply
[skill]crippling shot[/skill]/[skill]burning arrow[/skill]/[skill]broad head arrow[/skill]
[skill]distracting shot[/skill]
[skill]savage shot[/skill]
[skill]apply poison[/skill]
[skill]natural stride[/skill]
[skill]troll unguent[/skill]
[skill]epidemic[/skill] or [skill]mending touch[/skill] if you go /Mo
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
14 Expertise, 10 Marks, 10 WS
or...
Poison Arrow
[skill]poison arrow[/skill]
[skill]distracting shot[/skill]
[skill]savage shot[/skill]
[skill]barbed arrows[/skill]
[skill]natural stride[/skill]
[skill]troll unguent[/skill]
[skill]epidemic[/skill] or [skill]mending touch[/skill] for when you switch to /Mo
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
Umm... can't remember whether PA is the standard 14/10/10 split...
oooor 13 Exp / 12 WS / 9 Marks
Myeh. I stick to cripshot.
Tab targets to spread poison (+bleeding with the 2nd build), interrupt important shit with Savage/DShot, shutdown casters by sitting on their face with BHA, help your melee kill stuff/stop the enemy melee from killing with Cripshot, pressure with Burning.

\/\/u7? n0 1uv f0r [wiki]Poison Tip Signet[/wiki]?
Because it allows you to take any elite and preparation you want, I find that very useful.
No tabbing targets with it, that is true.

IMO Apply Poison is just too good. If you want condition spread build it's THE preparation of choice.

it has a recharge of 6s and that means you cant spread it thus having way less pressure...
stick with apply or poison arrows + barbed ==> good stuff

As I said can't tab with it, but pressure isn't the only use for poison u know, I use it to make my [skill=text]Incendiary Arrows[/skill] build deal more degen for example.
It's also in my [skill=text]Burning Arrow[/skill] build, cuz...
Not sure really, I guess because that build has only 6+1 wilderness.

No, it's just bad.
The only time you would use it is if you are not using Apply.
And when does that happen? Ranger Spike? If you are relying on that 4 degen to kill them, then you have already failed.
Trapping? Waste of a skill slot.
Barbed Arrows? Then you are using Poison Arrow.
Incendiary? You are already failing.

Using Epidermic to spread Burning at 4 seconds is fail as well. You've forced yourself into /Me. Other than Epidemic, I can think of only maybe one or two skills that I would pack. Blackout/Arcane Thievery. Epidemic is just another slot waste spot. You've used two skills to inflict 56 (80 with poison/barbed) damage from burning over 4 seconds (5 second recharge Epidemic 5 second recharge BA). 20 DPS (maybe) per target. Sounds like something Barrage can do with 1 skill slot, complete with the adjacent clause. But we already know how much Barrage sucks. It also fuels RC since you still have Poison and Bleeding lingering on. Only way I could see it happening in your favor is if they have Draw on some monk and your team can capitalize. But then you still waste a slot for PTS. Then you want to use Barbed Arrows and Poison Tip Signet. Degen caps at 10. Burning + Barbed + PTS is 14.
Have to cast PTS every time you would want to Cripshot so your crippled is covered. Or cast PTS every time you want to spread Poison, creating a little bit more pressure. Yeah, you're running BA, but I still do not see the need to run the crap skill PTS. Also, using BA on recharge means that 1/2 of them are not covered by poison and bleed, but with bleed only. You could just cast Apply and not have to worry about having a higher chance to miss interrupts while you have to cast PTS and Barbed Arrows more than Apply (18 versus 24 duration). Apply is basically the damage of a Ranger. By running Barbed, you are doing less damage. Power of Rangers is disruption, position control, poison spread, and skirmish fights. PTS is also asking for a Savage if you are facing another Ranger. Count to 6, interrupt. Running Barbed is also highly interruptible. If your NS doesn't cover it, you could be without Barbed for 12-32 seconds.
Why would you pick a sub-par skill when there is another that makes up for it and is better all around?
I guess that is why everyone runs Barbed Arrows and Burning Arrow in GvG right, right? With PTS right?

While this not only provides a cover for other conditions such as deep wound, blind, and cripple, the duration and number of opponents that remain poisoned provide a gauge as to many much pressure the other team is taking. Though you may not see your poison stick initially, if your team is applying sufficient pressure, you will notice that there will be fewer and fewer targets clean. It is very important to pay attention to your apply, since when that is interrupted there is almost no reason for you to be swapping attack targets anymore. Make sure you have natural stride up while using and apply poison, and also keep in mind that you do not need to reapply on recharge, since the duration of the skill lasts twice as long as its recharge. Although that sounds fairly obvious, there are many people who make the mistake of burning their energy out from spamming apply poison.

Poison Tip Signet frees you from feeling forced to take Apply Poison because poison is so good and yet utterly useless against anything non-fleshy. Not to mention that tabbing and attacking around to spread poison could have your h&h running around the place following your lead. And off course, there's a conflict of interest between tab-space spreading poison and interrupting. Apply Poison is often good, but not always.

I wish my character was nonfleshy. No Sever Gash for me.
This was assuming this was for a PvP build. You are correct about the stupidity of henchmen.

Back on topic. I totally disagree with you.
[skill]Burning Arrow[/skill] [skill]Apply Poison[/skill] [skill]Epidemic[/skill]
That is constant -10 degen on few mobs (and we know mobs like to cluster)
Great pressure build, and I love it.
In heavy caster areas (like Ooze Pit) switch [skill=text]Burning Arrow[/skill] with [skill=text]Broad Head Arrow[/skill] and they can forget about getting off any spells if you have Minion Master with you.
Add an interrupt or two, [skill=text]Distracting shot[/skill], [skill=text]savage shot[/skill] and some defensive skill like [skill=text]Throw Dirt[/skill], dont forget about res, I prefer Sunspear rebirth signet and you have one slot left for Pain Inventer or whatever else you like.
[skill]Burning Arrow[/skill] [skill]Epidemic[/skill] [skill]Distracting shot[/skill] [skill]savage shot[/skill] [skill]Throw Dirt[/skill] [skill]Apply Poison[/skill]
Used it for my vanquishing and It works like a charm.

If you want poison and bleeding, getting say, Screaming Shot and Apply Poison would be much better than PTS and Barbed.
